Today, on February 14, 2024, we had the honor of celebrating two remarkable student-athletes from our school, Grady Lacourciere and Hannah Thomas, on their signing of the National Letter of Intent. This is a significant achievement for both Grady and Hannah, and we would like to recognize their dedication and perseverance. Grady Lacourciere has been accepted to Hofstra University in Long Island, where he will be joining the Division 1 Men's Baseball Team. In addition to pursuing his passion for baseball, Grady will also be studying Law. Grady would like to express his gratitude to everyone who has supported him throughout his journey. He extends a special thank you to Ms. Heck, our amazing athletic director, for her guidance and support. Grady would also like to thank his teammates, coaches, and the entire sports community for making his experience enjoyable and memorable. Hannah Thomas will be attending The University of Tennessee, where she is going to compete on the Division 1 Women's Crew Team. Alongside her athletic journey, Hannah will be studying Sport Management. Hannah would like to extend her appreciation to her coaches, Paul Fuchs, Dale Hoxie, and Leo Pelletier, for their mentorship and guidance. She is also grateful to her parents for their unwavering support in allowing her to pursue her passions as she prepares for college. Congratulations Grady and Hannah! In addition to the LOL Booster Club photo package, parents/students have the option of adding creative portraits (see attached from Volleyball) to the Team Media Day. On Thursday, December 21st the indoor track team welcomed D1 distance runner at UCONN, Danielle Adams and D2 sprinter/jumper at University of New Haven, Angela Mercaldi. Danielle and Angela gave a presentation on the recruitment process and life as a college athlete. There was time for a Q and A, in which our indoor track athletes asked wonderful questions. It was a great experience for the team to get to hear their perspective of life as a college athlete and open up the floor to questions they might have had. We thank Danielle and Angela for making the trek to Old Lyme to talk with our athletes!
