Cycling Club
The Lyme Old Lyme Bike Club is designed to build connections within the cycling community. All skill levels are welcome, from recreational rider to Enduro World Series riders. Club members connect w/ the community to talk about trail use and improvement as well as to build relationships with outside organizations like the Land Trust, Lyme Open Space Commission, Tour De Lyme and Morrisey’s Cycle. We strive to extend rider’s overall experience.
Last year the club has met biweekly at school, attended town meetings and helped w/ improvement and maintenance of trails in town. The group shares experiences of local rides, land maintenance projects, and also of team individual involvements and accomplishments. We are always open to member ideas that lead to improvement and involvement in the riding experienceThe Lyme Old Lyme Bike Club is designed to build connections within the cycling community. For 2023 - 24 school year, we hope to branch out to plan some organized trail rides that students may sign up to join. Much like the Ski Team, we would involve Bike Club members and then open it up to others that may like to sign up to join. Opportunities exist at Riding Venues like Powder Ridge or Thunder Mountain (previously Berkshire East) or in our incredible network of trails in Lyme and Old Lyme and beyond.
