Mr. Derry prepared his last unit of work for his Introduction to Engineering Design students: Designing a Trebuchet. He created individual kits for each student which they picked up during week 9 of distance learning. A trebuchet (French trébuchet) is a type of catapult that uses a long arm to throw a projectile. It was a common powerful siege engine until the advent of gunpowder. (en.wikipedia.org ) Take a look at the work at some of the students' work: |
